About Kim Green

Kim Green is one of Australia’s leading freelance Music Supervisors. As a long standing member of the Australian music industry, Kim held senior positions in a number of major music publishing companies such as MCA Music, PolyGram Music Publishing and BMG Music, spanning a 20 year career in music publishing. During this time, Kim was responsible for suggesting and licensing music in high profile feature films such as PRISCILLA, QUEEN OF THE DESERT and SHINE, and working directly with songwriters and catalogues in all mediums.

Now an independent Music Supervisor, Kim works with a wealth of creative clients in film, television and theatre around the world. Offering services including music research, co-ordination, song sourcing, negotiation, rights clearances, and general copyright and music licensing advice and support, Kim draws on expert skills and experience and a substantial network of contacts both locally and globally.

Highlights

SAMSON AND DELILAH
Set in and around Alice Springs, the film is a tough, tender and wryly funny love story between two Aboriginal teenagers from a local community. Rave reviews and critical acclaim and countless local and international awards have followed the recent release of this film.

MAO’S LAST DANCER
This beautiful feature film by director Bruce Beresford and producer Jane Scott is based on the hugely successful autobiography of Chinese ballet dancer Li Cunxin, and his fascinating life from the communes of China to the heights of international stardom in the ballet world. The film has won numerous awards, including Best Original Music Score at 2009 AFI Awards.
